Shea Sylvia is an interactive marketing professional who specializes in social media strategy and execution, blog development, content management and copywriting, with a little bit of web and graphic design thrown in for good measure.

In 2004, Shea took the less conventional road to Kansas by way of Los Angeles, where she discovered blogging as a way to capture her often surreal adventures (and misadventures) in the City of Angels.

By the time she settled into Wichita, Shea was blogging professionally for b5media, one of the largest blog networks on the web, where she spent four years as an entertainment writer. After a stint as a dating columnist for Wichita’s Naked City Magazine, Shea decided to venture out on her own, developing the concept for verb [ICT] – a hybrid blog/magazine with a decidedly Wichita slant.

In the spring of 2010, Shea moved on up to the east side… to Kansas City, where she manages the social media efforts for one of the world’s leading healthcare IT companies. In her free time, Shea enjoys blogging her everyday adventures as A California Girl in Kansas, whipping up new recipes in the kitchen, and exploring her new stomping ground with her boyfriend and their two pugs.
